Larry Poulos, of Arlington, allegedly handed a teller at the Educational Employees Credit Union a deposit slip with the word "bomb" scrawled on the back Tuesday, according to Dallas News.
The teller initially thought he was just kidding, but soon realized he was legitimately trying to rob the place. She gave him more than $5,000 in cash before he fled the store, according to the Dallas Observer, but not before he -- and his "I <3 Texas" shirt -- were caught on surveillance camera.
Oh yeah, some neighbors also called 911 because while Poulos was running back to his apartment, dollar bills were spilling out of the bag and trailing behind him.
Neighbors also reported that minutes after Poulous went into his apartment, two large men walked in, then came back out carrying a bag of cash.
When cops showed up at Poulos' apartment, they noted that he was not only wearing the same "I <3 Texas" shirt seen in the surveillance video, but he was also bleeding from his head. Both Poulos and his roommate told cops that Poulos had just been robbed.
The roommate also told cops that a few days earlier, Poulos told him he planned on robbing a bank.
Poulos faces federal robbery charges, while the folks who reportedly robbed him have not been caught.
Sorry but you have to read that whole article to understand the lunacy here, and to understand how perfect that picture is. So this guy has been planning a bank robbery for days. And that consisted of walking into a bank with an I <3 Texas shirt on and writing 'bomb' on a piece of paper? What does that even mean. Do you have a bomb? Is there a bomb in the bank? You are the bomb?
Anyway, this dude runs home while spilling dirty money all over the sidewalk on the way in. Then two dudes show up at his place, beat the shit out of him, and steal the money. This dude is going to jail, the dudes who robbed him got away.
I love that plan. Like dude we should rob a bank. Nah man, that moron Larry been talking about robbing a bank for days. Let's wait for him to do it, and then we will roll on him. Done and done.
PS no one has every done anything smart in an I <3 Texas shirt
