Man in Claremont jumps off 10 Freeway in failed suicide attempt

Source - CLAREMONT -- A suicidal man jumped off a freeway overpass Tuesday night, but survived the fall.
Claremont police received a call at 7:50 p.m. from a motorist who was driving on Indian Hill Boulevard when a man who was standing on the 10 Freeway jumped and landed in front of the vehicle, said Claremont police Lt. Aaron Fate.
Paramedics flew him to Los Angeles County USC Medical Center for treatment of a broken pelvis.

Listen, I'm sorry this guy has got some problems and thought that killing himself was the only answer. And I'm even more sorry for his self esteem because when you are low enough to off yourself and you fuck that up? Man that is rock bottom. Here's my issue. You know how suicide is technically illegal? But it's like who cares the person is dead. Well murder is also illegal, but so is attempted murder. So why isn't attempted suicide illegal also? I hear ya, do we really need to pile it on a person who attempted to kill themselves, fucked it up, and now they are going to jail? In my opinion, yes we do. Maybe it would stop all these cries for help like shallow wrist slices or leaps from a 20 foot overpass if it was gonna cost you 15 years.
