The Rock has an earthquake movie coming out

Source - New Line’s “San Andreas,” starring Dwayne Johnson, will hit theaters on June 5, 2015 in 2D and 3D.
The film, directed by Brad Peyton, centers on a massive earthquake that hits California and one man who must make the treacherous journey across the state to rescue his estranged daughter.
“The Conjuring” scribes Carey Hayes and Chad Hayes wrote the most recent draft. Jeremy Passmore and Andre Fabrizio sold the original pitch based on an original idea by Beau Flynn.
The “San Andreas” project has been in development since 2011 with New Line-based Flynn producing through his Flynn PictureCo. banner with Tripp Vinson.
New Line is planning to move into production on “San Andreas” in the second quarter. The Warner Bros. division, Johnson and Flynn previously worked together on “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island.”
“San Andreas” is the second title to land on the June 5 release date. Fox has already dated animated “B.O.O.: Bureau of Otherworldly Operations” for the same slot.

See this is exactly the type of movie I've been asking for. Enough with the sequels and the remakes and super hero movies. Give me something original. A character driven piece I can sink my teeth in to. And give me the perfect A list star to carry it. The Rock is the man though, for real. I can't wait to see him leaping across the earth as it crumbles to pieces beneath his feet.
And just in case the Rock's movie is sold out it's good to know I can see B.O.O instead.
