Diver Bags 18-pound Lobster at Huntington Beach Pier

Source - After more than an hour free-diving through the barnacle-covered pilings, the Huntington Beach resident came to the surface hugging a nearly 18-pound monster.
“It’s the biggest lobster I’ve caught in my life,” he said of the spiny beast. For Ali, 27, going out alone in the 53-degree water to hunt among the pilings was all in a night’s work.

I don't know if you comprehend this but I do because I am from Maine. Lobsters and hockey, thats what Maine does! The lobsters you shell out 45 bucks for market value at some bullshit restaurant are 1.5 lbs. Maybe 2. I have seen some big lobsters, but this lobster is a monster. Probably eats pieces of shit like me for breakfast.

At my first restaurant job I had to kill the live lobsters with a kitchen knife through the head whenever someone ordered the 2lb stuffed. The meal cost 80 bucks. I had to rip both arms off first, then lower a knife through its head. Really awful experience at first, but once I got used to it I used to put a knife in their claws and fight them fair and square. No chance with this guy. How does a bottom feeder this big even sustain its own life? What does it eat? Whales?
