Watts School After Science Experience Goes Awry

Source - At least five students were hospitalized after a science experiment malfunctioned at a Watts charter high school on Tuesday.

A physics teacher at Animo Watts College Prepratory Academy was having students estimate the speed of a marble that was being blown out of a wooden and PVC pipe cannon, according to Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Scott Miller.
The cannon exploded at about 9:30 a.m., injuring 10 students, five of whom were taken to the hospital, Miller said. Five other students stayed with parents and may have been taken to hospitals by their families, Miller said.

Got no idea where Watts is. Learned of it's existence yesterday. Love this place. Sorry we blew up the east wing of Watts College Prep doing a marble experiment, maybe we should all chill out and take a dip in the pool...
