Hollywood being the suits that they are

Source - Bad Boys II was released a decade ago, and the sequel grossed $273 million on a $160 million budget. Michael Bay directed the first two, but he doesn’t seem to be involved, at least at this point. Jerry Bruckheimer is producing the pic. Sony is trying to do this with the original cast, which makes it different from the other big franchise reboots in the works, Men In Black and Ghostbusters. Those are being rebooted.

I was cruising deadline and I see that they are making Bad Boys III. I fuck with Bad Boys so I will probably tune in to see if Mike Lowrey's new partner "shoots just like that."

But then I read that Bad Boys III will have the same cast, unlike the reboots they are doing of MiB and Ghostbusters. First of all, MiB 3 came out like five days ago. That's fast even for this town. And Ghostbusters!? You're going to reboot Ghostbusters? It's a fucking classic that you are going to ruin to put money in the pockets of people who don't give a shit. One suit, two suit, three suit, four!
