Fast Food Strike Going Strong!

Source - The walkouts were part of a “100-city strike wave,” as employees at McDonald’s, Wendy’s, Domino’s Pizza, Burger King and Taco Bell called for $15-an-hour wages, organizers said.
In Los Angeles, restaurant employees and their allies gathered Thursday morning outside a McDonald’s on Manchester Avenue in South L.A.’s Florence district, where they said they would picket before moving on to a noon demonstration at a McDonald’s location in East Hollywood.
“Every six months they give us a raise, but I want to see more actions, more money,” said Fanny Velasquez, who said she earns $8.70 an hour as an employee at the Florence McDonald’s, where he has worked for eight years. “$15 [an hour] would be better,” she added, because it would allow her to rely on a single job rather than two jobs to support her family.
The fast-food chain is “committed to providing our employees with opportunities to succeed” and offers competitive pay, training and the chance for advancement, a McDonald’s spokeswoman said Wednesday.
Domino’s drivers’ hourly pay and tips amount to more than minimum wage, the pizza chain said.
Huge day for me. HUGE. Is it tough sledding demanding $15 bucks/hr when the sign behind you makes it painfully clear that's 7 bacon mcdoubles? Fuck it. I'm all in. #FightForFifteen trending so hard right now.

PS What the fuck are you doing here Dominos? Your CEO is crazy, I've seen the commercials.
